| More and more, school staff are using remote database applications for handheld devices, such as the Palmpilot and Handspring, for editing and tracking student data. These handheld devices provide users with incredible functionality at a fraction of the cost of a computer workstation. HandSchool is a Palm OS application giving teachers, attendance clerks, discipline officers, school security personnel, student counselors, truancy officers and health nurses access to critical data no matter where they are located on campus. The SIRS 3 and HandSchool information is updated utilizing the Palm OS HotSync technology. |
